Past Projects: This is an operating photo of the world's largest Van der Graff generator. It's two stories high and generating bolts of static electricity 15 to 20 feet long. It was originally designed by Prof. Van der Graff of MIT in Boston for early atomic energy experiments and currently resides in the Boston Museum of Science. This image was used as the cover photo for the IEEE EMC Society Magazine.
